Happy mom...well almost.

Last night I had one of those moments that made my little mommy heart soar. All of my kids were outside, without being forced, and they were playing NICELY...with each other!!!

The boys were playing soccer and having a great time. The girls were having fun on the swings and everyone was happy. I felt that little surge of happiness where you almost feel like crying. After all, this is what I thought mommyhood would be like. I dreamed of my kids playing nicely and helping each other.

My siblings and I beat each other to death, so I'm not sure where I came up with this idyllic picture of childhood, but hey, that's what dreams are all about.

I rushed inside the house to get my camera. As I ran up the stairs, I was planning today's blog - I was thinking of writing something wonderful about being a mom and how happy my children make me.

When I got outside, the girls were off the swings and walking in the house while the boys were screaming at each other. Caleb had kicked the soccer ball far away and wouldn't get it and Christian, who'd had a too busy day, was screaming and crying and had basically melted down.

Oh well...it was almost perfect.

at least you could enjoy that one fleeting moment....!!! Isn't it funny though because I am always wondering why my kids fight so much-and then I look back and I can't remember NOT fighting with my siblings!!!

I guess that's life, eh? Glad it was great for a few moments though! A little tender mercy...

HA! That's funny! I guess we just have to take it when we can get it huh? It's amazing how quickly things can go crazy huh?

Just enjoy it when you can! I have done the same thing. Ran to get the camera and it's never as it was! I guess it was for my eyes only! Just keep it in your memory! And pull it out when you need to remind yourself that your kids really do love each other!!
